In the Google Doc and Wiki-
A. Agree upon a topic, such as PeacebyTeens, an organization that is web-based that promotes opportunities to build peaceful relationships between teenagers in countries throughout the world by face-to-face and web-based projects. Look at other examples on the home page.
Pick up a website name that nobody else has taken in the world. For example, peacebyteens.com and peacebyteens.org are sites that are available, which means that nobody owns them. You will need that for your organization that aims to help people. Go to http://www.whois.com to find available names. (Note: You will not actually be buying them, but anyone over 18 can buy them right now).
Create a Google Doc and complete the following items for your group.
Description: A short paragraph or two description of your organization.
Goal of the Organization: The main goal(s) of your organization.
Target Audience: Who you serve....Example: children, adults, etc.
Future Projects: Think about possible future projects.
Background History: Write about how tho organization started. You can say it was started in a middle school...This part you can be creative.
Success Stories: Think about success stories or projects for your group that have been successful.
After they are complete in the Google Doc, please put them on the class wiki.
Part Two: Find websites and sources for your project. Use Diigo and Google Chrome to bookmark your sites.
You should add and use the diigo.com extension. We used this briefly last marking period.
One person in your group, create a new Diigo group and call it the name of your company. For example, peacebyteens would be the group's name above. Invite other members to your account by email and me at jpuglia@bedminsterschool.org.
You can invite them by their email address @bedminsterschool.org or by just typing their diigo account.
Research Sites and bookmark, highlight and summarize at least two websites for each member in your group. If your group has 3 members, you should have 6 websites. Please make sure to use the diigo extension in Google Chrome. Your group can also bookmark images and share them with your group members. Please make sure to add sticky notes, summaries, highlight and share them to your group.
Your group should then begin to go to websites and highlight images and facts to help you with your company. Find similar companies or look at sites that will help you get ideas for your organization.

Part 3 and Beyond- All your information will be posted to the group wiki (which will act as your website).
Complete Brochures (group images together).
Complete Podcasts/Videos about your Organization
Create a Presentation about your organization in Google Presentations and then add transparency and some other moving animation in PowerPoint
Create business letters (in Microsoft Word) to send and complete a mail merge.

C. One to companies that might give money.
Use your Database to add 10 new entries to your list. Provided to you by your teacher.
Print a query and report for volunteers

Filter only the people that gave 100 dollars last year.
